Does Seomatiq require a WordPress plugin to connect?
No. Seomatiq connects to any self-hosted WordPress site via the WordPress REST API using application passwords — a native WordPress feature available since version 5.6. No plugin installation is required. Simply create an application password in your WordPress admin panel and paste it into Seomatiq.
Do I need an Ahrefs API key to use Seomatiq?
No. Ahrefs integration is a v2 roadmap feature. Seomatiq's gap analysis works fully without Ahrefs in v1. When the Ahrefs integration is available, keyword volume, difficulty, and SERP feature data will flow directly into the Gap Engine to improve opportunity prioritisation.
How does Seomatiq authenticate with Google Search Console?
Via OAuth. Go to Integrations > Google Search Console in your Seomatiq dashboard and follow the OAuth flow. Once authenticated, ranking data, impressions, click-through rates, and search queries appear in your dashboard automatically.
Can I request a custom integration?
Yes. Send the tool name and a brief description of how you would use it to hello@seomatiq.com. The most-requested integrations are added to the roadmap with priority.
How frequently does Seomatiq sync data?
WordPress publish and draft synchronisation is real-time. GSC ranking data updates once per day by default. The crawl and gap analysis cycle runs monthly, with on-demand manual triggering also available from the dashboard.
