At Seomatiq ("we", "the platform"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect when you use Seomatiq services, how we use it, and your rights. The platform operates in compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data We Collect
To provide our services, we process the following personal and technical data:
Account Information
The name, email address and passwords you provide during registration (stored hashed). Profile information shared by the provider when signing in with OAuth.
WordPress Site Data
The URL of the WordPress site you connect, connection credentials (application password — stored encrypted), and the site content inventory (page titles, URLs, word counts, SEO metadata).
Content Data
Drafts, content proposals and SEO analysis results generated or processed through Seomatiq.
Usage Data
In-platform click and navigation data, feature usage statistics, and error reports. This data is used to improve service quality.
Payment Information
Credit card or payment details are not stored directly by us; payment transactions are carried out through PCI-DSS-compliant third-party providers such as Stripe.

4. Third-Party Services
To deliver its services, Seomatiq works with the following third-party infrastructure and API providers. Each of these providers is subject to its own privacy policy:

5. Data Sharing
We never sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data is shared only with the infrastructure providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the service. Where legally required (a court order or regulatory request), data may be shared with the competent authorities; in such cases we provide advance notice wherever possible.
6. User Rights Under GDPR
Under EU and Turkish data protection legislation, you have the following rights:
Right of Access
You can request a copy of the personal data we process about you.
Right to Rectification
You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)
You can request that we permanently delete your account and all associated data.
Data Portability
We enable you to receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON).
Objection to Processing
You can object to certain data processing activities and request that processing be restricted.

7. Data Security
Your data is protected with industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest). WordPress connection credentials are stored as encrypted fields. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Our systems are subject to regular security audits.
8. Data Retention Period
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days; for data that must be retained due to legal obligations (such as payment records), the statutory retention period applies.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies for session management and security. No marketing or third-party tracking cookies are used.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, a notification is sent to your registered email address and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page is updated.
