Why are AI citations the metric that matters?
When an AI assistant answers a buying question, the handful of cited sources capture the recommendation — everything else is invisible. Citations are also self-reinforcing: pages that AI engines cite get read, linked and mentioned more, which raises the probability of future citations. How does verified citation tracking work?

- The prompt runs live on each platform from its assigned target country (16 supported) — no cached answers.
- Every URL in the answer is extracted and matched against your domain. Only a real match records “Cited”; name-only appearances record “Mentioned” separately.
- Competitor domains in the same answers are recorded too, building a citation share-of-voice for your category.
- History is kept per prompt and platform, so you can trace exactly when a citation appeared — and which published content earned it.
